Download Pre-Made Mods and Tools


Mod
Description
Server Region mod (PyroJockey) Change your server's region between North America, Europe, or Japan while it is running and has players from any region currently playing!
HEROs Only (MERC-J) All selectable classes are changed to the map's Hero or Villain
MERC-J's Classes Has several different mods that will change around the classes
(ex. choose Grunt - get a Special)
Super Troopers v1.00 (Higgins) Rockets and Snipers have extra Health and Speed, Wookies have extra Health and Speed
Points for Specials (SG-17) Points to unlock Specials changed from:
8 & 12 to 20 & 40
Negatives for Points (Grymm) Various TeamKill negatives will generate Positive points instead
Tankless Maps (SG-17) Tanks are removed from these maps
No Space Walking on Polis Massa (MERC-J) Everyone (including Droids) dies REALLY fast outside on the asteroids surface
No Space Walking and No Tanks on Polis Massa (MERC-J/SG-17) Same as above plus Tanks are removed from map
Space Walking on Polis Massa Everyone (not just Droids) can go outside without losing health
Space Walking and No Tanks on Polis Massa (SG-17) Same as above plus Tanks are removed from map
Super Hoth (SG-17) CTF/Conquest. Hoth CTF has CPs that can be captured!
Plus, an extra CP in Hoth conquest and Death Star conquest!
And land anywhere outside on Space Yavin!
Super Kamino CTF/Conquest. Kamino CTF has CPs that can be captured!
No other mods added to this one.
Super Hoth (SG-17) and Super Kamino All of SG-17's Super Hoth mod with Super Kamino added onto it
DeathStarWeapon-mod (`Evolution) The "death regions" are removed from Death Star
(you can't die from falling off from ANYthing)

it makes it like the movie wow a lot of peolpe dont know u can play as clone commanders commmandos and classe are change a bit

Yeah, I watched those vids on your GT page, dx. That looks like the PC version of SWBFII.
I like that gun they were using on Tantive4. It was like a mixture of a mortar and assault rifle!

i heard they were going to make imperimal commando but cancelled it because of the clonewars movie and swbf3 was supose to come out after imperial commando

hex editing is easy once you understand the format.

You're basically just replacing values with other values.
The hard part is figuring out which values do what....
And that's what you have the ODFs for!

If you have a lot of time on your hands and you're interested in writing code, this is a good start.
If you don't like it, you won't wanna do this for a living! Laughing

Here is a link to Astro's tutorial for HEX editing using the ODF files for reference.

It's by far the best starter guide I've run into.

I think you are a little confused scratch

The lvl files reside on a PC based dedicated server and contain the modded information that is downloaded to the PS2 clients (players) that log into the server.

The lvl files are modded by HEX editing the contents using a HEX editor.

The ODF files were intended for modding the PC version of SWBF2 and are only used for reference material to guide you in HEX editing the contents of the lvl files.

Astro's tutorial is the best example I can give of HEX editing a lvl file.

ok, im sorry. i was a little confused there. anyway, i got the game loaded with all my mods and downloaded all the mods but when i tried to put the server up, it didn't show up on the ps2. i asked my friend to look and he said he didn't see my server. can anyone help?

First of all I recommend you download and keep a copy of server manager users guide. This is the official manual from Black Bag Ops but for some reason is not included with the server manager. It is written for primarily for the PC version so there are some things mentioned that do not apply such as the in game text chat system. (PC version has no headset option)

There are many reasons to be unable to connect to your server.

  1. Make sure you downloaded and installed the PS2 version of the dedicated server manager. It looks identical to the PC version.

  2. Also make sure you downloaded and applied the v1.1 update. (optional but recommended)

  3. Make sure the server manager is started with a shortcut that includes the "-ps2" command line switch. i.e. "swbf2sm.exe -ps2"

  4. Confirm this by making sure the server manager displays "PS2" in the status bar at the bottom and not "PC"

  5. Also confirm this is version 1.1 by looking at the title bar. You should see v1.10.

  6. I recommend testing the server on a LAN prior to attempting an internet connection. On the Server page set the server type to "LAN".

  7. Make sure you have the correct local IP address entered. You can find you IP address by opening a command prompt window and typing IPCONFIG.

  8. Make sure the server is running. Once you hit the Start button you should see a rather plain looking white window with the name of the server in it and the current status. The status bar at the bottom should also say "Started". You can also push the LOG button and view the log file to confirm the server has started.


You should now be able to connect to the server using the LAN option in SWBF2 on your PS2. If this is not working I see no point in going further. You have a network issue that needs to be resolved.

When you are ready to connect via the internet you may have to open some ports on your router. UDP 3658, TCP 27900 and TCP 29920. The directions for port forwarding vary with each router and I'm not able to help you there. Google you router make and model and look for instructions on "port forwarding" or contact your internet provider or better yet make friends with a computer geek.

Refer to page 6 of the server manager users guide for more information on which ports to open for GameSpy and additional ports for the remote manager.

Sorry if I'm annoying.. I can't load my mods onto the server. I finished modding the files but now they won't appear on the game, it's just the regular maps. Any help?
